Welcome to the inspiring journey of Charlotte Garnes, the visionary founder behind ReNforce (pronounced “reinforce”), a nonprofit organization on a mission to drive positive change in the lives of justice-impacted individuals facing employment barriers due to incarceration or legal convictions. Charlotte’s personal experiences with workplace discrimination following her incarceration served as the catalyst for ReNforce’s creation.
With a solid educational background, holding both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Charlotte unexpectedly found herself jobless after her employer discovered her legal conviction. This setback led Charlotte to commit herself to making a difference, and she established ReNforce.
ReNforce is dedicated to transforming the lives of justice-impacted individuals by providing essential support and guidance for their successful reentry into the community and the workforce. The organization achieves this through comprehensive training, one-on-one coaching, and fostering professional development. In addition, ReNforce actively collaborates with open-minded employers, educating them on the advantages of hiring qualified candidates who may have a conviction on their record.
Charlotte Garnes is a dedicated professional with a robust background. She is a certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion specialist, earning her DEI certificate from the University of South Florida. Furthermore, she is a Licensed Mental Health Clinician Associate in North Carolina. Charlotte’s expertise and passion drive ReNforce’s efforts to empower individuals, challenge societal norms, and create opportunities for a brighter future.

ReNforce is my passion project, dedicated to transforming the lives of justice-impacted individuals. I believe in providing them with essential support, guidance, and the tools they need to successfully transition into the community and the workforce. My approach includes:
